This is our official initiative to bring student suicide awareness and prevention training to public schools. Middle and high school students every semester.
The solution to the governments hesitation to mandating school policy, even though they have mandated HIVAids training, Drunk driving...Every 15 Minutes, and financial literacy by 8th grade to name a few. Why on earth would they NOT support suicide awareness and prevention training...considering it is the number 2 leading cause of death for 15-24 yr. olds as well as 3rd leading cause of death for 10-14 yr. olds. YES, 10 year olds are taking their own lives, DAILY!
For middle and high school age youth (ages 12-18), suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death. *
For college age youth (ages 18-22), suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death. *
Over-all, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for our youth ages 10-24. *

In ages 10-14, we have seen an alarming 128% increase in suicides since 1980, making it the third leading cause of death for that age group.
I beg you, help me save your kids!!!!! Suicide knows NO boundaries. Suicide is especially prevalent amongst over achievers, perfectionists and competitive young people. So your good grade, cheerleader, football player, student council president, elite athlete, leaders in church youth groups....these are students that are at an extreme high risk! Your kids. My kids....my daughter.....
