Because of Hanah, is a suicide awareness and prevention initiative born out of our family's tragic nightmare.
Our Mission:
To provide suicide awareness and prevention training to all students in school nation wide.
To provide affirmation to all humans that they matter and there is HOPE.
To provide grief support to heartbroken parents as they navigate through their life after the loss of their child to suicide.
To stop the epidemic of suicide.
To initiate a federal law that would mandate all schools nation wide to provide student suicide awareness and prevention training every sememster and that this training be available free of charge via the internet in an assembly type forum in 30 minutes or less so as not to add to or take away from teachers' day.
It is our main focus to provide suicide awareness and prevention training to school age students in all schools and that this training be mandatory. This training can be provided in an assembly type forum once a semester in under 30 minutes so as not to take away from teachers day and it can be free of charge through utilization of our videos of trainings we provide for you here under the education tab. Please write your congressional staff and demand this be required in your state, school districts and communities. This training is meant to be a beginning to more in-depth training. It is the awareness of warning signs and then the three steps to take once these signs are noticed. Students need this immediately and it is the first step in the eradication of the epidemic that is suicide.
